What is SMCI?
Student Movement For Christ International (SMCI)
is an evangelistic campus ministry led by Evangelist Mike Redick. It was bourne out of the evangelistic missions fervor of Gospel Light Christian Church when the LORD brought together the dynamic combination of Paul Choo and Mike Redick in Singapore during a move of the Spirit that began in the year 2000.
From it's humble beginnings with just one worker--one surrendered lady with a vision, Miss Joy Penero--the Lord has multiplied it to a staff of 50 full-time workers (plus many part-timers and student workers) ministering daily-- doing personal evangelism, discipleship, Bible studies, serving in their local churches, and even church planting when there is no local church who will partner.
By God's grace, SMCI see's literally 1000's saved and discipled during each year. This past semester SMCI had 4316 students enrolled in Bible Study/Discipleship on more than 70 campuses on 7 islands. The LORD has opened the door for SMCI to provide Advanced Biblical Studies as well:

"People don't usually stay in campus ministry for a lifetime. It is our responsibility to prepare our workers for whatever the Lord has in mind for their futures--not just to use up their youth in this very taxing ministry. Thus, we instigated the SMCI Institute which takes place yearly during the month of April. SMCians are given 30 hours of Biblical Studies and receive a Diploma upon completion. This takes about 5 years!"

In just 10 years, the LORD has allowed SMCI to be part of winning, growing and sending out foreign missionaries, pastors & pastors wives, lay workers, full-time campus workers, and Biblically grounded SMCians into the world!
During their 6 week Annual e-Campaign, teams from all over the world converge on the Philippines to join with SMCI to reach the campuses with a blast of the Gospel!--opening new campuses and islands, preaching the Gospel room to room, at assemblies, concerts, student gatherings of all kinds! Last year's campaign saw over 100,000 persons hear a clear Gospel message!
The Gospel, the Spirit Filled Life, the Word of God and Prayer have been main components in the SMCI movement from the beginning. All teams pray daily together for 1-2 hours. Prayer teams all over the globe have been formed to support the ministry and the Annual e-Camp (Evangelistic Campaign)!
Their goal is to place a chapter of SMCI on every university, college and high school on every island of the Philippines and throughout SE Asia.

The President
Evangelist Michael Redick has been ministering in SE Asia since 1990 having had the opportunity to preach to thousands the gospel of Jesus Christ. His passion is to reach the unreached of the world with that message and see them discipled and making disciples themselves. Mike is the Chairman and CEO of NOSNUMA International, Int'l Director of Student Movement for Christ International and Myanmar ministries he founded. Mike is the author of 3 books and many booklets on the Christian life. He and his wife Lisa make their home in Singapore.
